Een nieuw project is ontstaan : Children from Safaga with Special Needs.

Heba en Joseph zijn naast hun werk op de special school begonnen met een nieuw project. Niet alleen krijgen de kinderen onderwijs, maar de sociale kontakten staan ook hoog in het vaandel. Ook wordt de ganse familie erbij betrokken, ouders en ook broertjes en zusjes. Wat een enorme vooruitgang is voor de „children from Safaga with special needs“.

Zo werd er in Safaga door Heba en Joseph prive een huis gehuurd, waar de lessen doorgaan en de kinderen worden ook buiten de school opgevolgd. Zij krijgen niks van de overheid voor dit.

Toen dit nieuws Sofie‘s oor bereikte, heeft ze direct besloten om ook hen te steunen met dit mooie project.

Elke woensdag komen enkele kinderen voor watertherapie.

Enkele weken geleden mocht Nemo de kinderen ontvangen voor een strand-dagje. Glunderende gezichtjes, van de kindjes zelf, maar ook veel ouders, broertjes en zusjes waren van de partij.

En deze week was er een dance-party voorzien. Mooie bende was het weer. Er werd duchtig gedanst en ook Mickey en Minnie Mouse, Spongebob, Tom en Jerry en veel andere figuren waren erbij. Speciale dank ook voor de DJ en zijn team voor de heerlijke sfeer dat ze brachten.

Het is heus niet gemakkelijk in Egypte om een kindje te hebben die wat anders is. En daarom willen we dit project ook heel graag steunen. In de winkel verkopen we koffietassen, potloden en postkaarten. De opbrengst wordt verdeeld onder deze projecten. Knutselmateriaal, knuffels, kleurplaten, potloden, puzzels, … zijn nog altijd zeer welkom.

A new project has emerged: Children from Safaga with Special Needs.

Heba and Joseph started a new project alongside their work at the special school. Not only do children receive education, but social contacts are also of high importance. The entire family is involved, parents and also brothers and sisters. What a huge advance for the “children from Safaga with special needs”.

In Safaga Heba and Joseph privately rented a house, where the lessons continue and the children are also followed up outside the school. They get nothing from the government for this.

When this news reached Sofie’s ear, she immediately decided to support them with this great project.

Every Wednesday some children come for water therapy.

A few weeks ago Nemo welcomed the children for a beach day. Gleaming faces from the children themselves, but also many parents, brothers and sisters were present.

And this week a dance party was planned. Nice gang. There was a lot of dancing and Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Spongebob, Tom and Jerry and many other characters were there. Special thanks also to the DJ and his team for the wonderful atmosphere that they brought.

It is really not easy in Egypt to have a child who is different. And that is why we want to support this project very much. In the store we sell coffee cups, pencils and post cards. The proceeds are distributed among these projects. Craft materials, cuddly toys, coloring pages, pencils, puzzles, … are still very welcome.
