Dive sites around Safaga
Panorama Reef North
Beautiful site; when the current is favourable a drift dive is possible.
On the north side there is a plateau at a depth of 25 metres with magnificent fan corals and beautiful table corals. Keep an eye on the blue: mackerel, tuna and barracuda are often around.
Here you may also meet the “caretaker” of Panorama Reef, a very curious Napoleon wrasse.
At 27 metres a crack in the rock with giant fan corals is the hiding place of a school of glassfish. Stingrays, lionfish and moray eels live on the plateau.
During your safety stop you can happily hover above Anemone City.
